Position Summary
The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will serve as a key executive leader responsible for developing and executing Purpose Financial’s comprehensive customer acquisition and marketing strategy that drives digital transformation and delivers profitable growth. This strategic role will enhance brand awareness, new customer acquisition, and market growth while overseeing a team of marketing professionals and collaborating with other functions. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish to inform efforts to increase Hispanic market share.
Job Responsibility
Strategic Leadership & Market Intelligence
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that articulate a compelling narrative around acquisition opportunities and competitive positioning informing and aligning with company strategy.
- Create strategic roadmaps for entering new markets or expanding presence in existing markets.
- Lead in-depth market analyses to identify growth opportunities within consumer segments.
- Translate competitive intelligence into actionable strategies that differentiate Purpose Financial in the marketplace.
- Design customer acquisition strategies with clear growth metrics.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align marketing initiatives with broader business objectives.
Consumer Insights & Segmentation
- Direct research initiatives to gain deep understanding of target consumer behaviors, preferences, and needs across diverse segments.
- Develop specialized insights into the Hispanic consumer market, including cultural nuances, financial behaviors, and product preferences.
- Translate consumer insights into operational recommendations and product enhancements that address specific segment needs.
Brand Strategy & Market Presence
- Implement a comprehensive brand strategy that evaluates and optimizes market presence while prioritizing digital transformation.
- Assess current market presence and develop strategic plans for expansion or consolidation based on consumer density and competitive landscape.
- Establish brand positioning that defines and maintains cohesive brand image across all marketing channels and consumer segments.

Demand Generation & Analytics
- Implement marketing campaigns across various channels to increase leads and sales that results in revenue generation.
- Oversee digital marketing efforts and other tactics to increase attributable volume.
- Oversee creative efforts align with marketing campaigns.
- Utilize technology and CRM (Hubspot) to automate marketing tasks and personalize customer journeys.
- Measure and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) enabling data-driven decisions that optimize marketing efforts.
Multicultural Marketing Excellence
- Leverage bilingual capabilities to develop authentic and culturally relevant marketing strategies.
- Ensure marketing materials and campaigns effectively resonate with diverse customer segments through appropriate cultural context.
- Serve as a cultural bridge between markets to inform product development and operational preferences.
Leadership and Team Management
- Lead and motivate a team of 15+ professional marketers and manage large vendors, including agency support, technology providers, and market researchers.
- Collaborate closely with operational and product teams to deliver strategies to increase revenue generation, while collaborating with other functions for implementation such as finance, technology, and compliance.
- Manage significant marketing budget effectively and efficiently, while improving marketing analytics and forecasting to support profitable growth expectations.
Education Required
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA a plus.
Experience Required
10+ years of progressive marketing experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles. Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) a plus. Proven record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies. Experience with multicultural marketing, particularly within Hispanic markets. Experience digital marketing, consumer insights and market research.
Knowledge Required
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Understanding of acquisition planning, budgeting, and execution. Ability to develop and maintain business relationships. Has an in-depth understanding of financial services (sub and near prime lending preferred). Working knowledge of front-end marketing technologies to optimize customer experience.
