Position Summary

Drive technical excellence and delivery success as our Delivery Manager—a dynamic leadership role that propels project execution while balancing strategic vision with tactical implementation. Spearhead high-level technical decisions, orchestrate cross-functional collaboration, and accelerate delivery outcomes in our Agile environment. Partner with Scrum Masters to transform product vision into reality while maintaining quality standards. Shape the future of our technical landscape as a key member of the Enterprise Architecture committee, translating strategic direction into actionable delivery plans. Lead teams to excellence, break down silos between UI, Backend, QA, DevOps, and Security functions, and deliver solutions that exceed expectations for quality, timeliness, and business alignment.

Job Responsibility

Delivery Coordination

  • Actively collaborate across UI, Backend, QA, DevOps, and Security functions to ensure seamless integration of deliverables
  • Establish effective coordination mechanisms that respect the distinct expertise and processes of each Engineering Function
  • Identify and manage dependencies between functional areas to maintain delivery momentum.
  • Create integrated delivery roadmaps that account for the unique contributions and constraints of each function.
  • Balance immediate delivery needs with strategic technical debt remediation efforts

Team Leadership

  • Manage direct reports, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence and architectural awareness.
  • Develop team capabilities in alignment with enterprise architecture principles.
  • Balance team autonomy with architectural governance requirements
  • Advocate for team needs within the Enterprise Architecture committee

  • Identify and prioritize technical debt remediation based on business impact and architectural significance.

Education Required

  • Certifications in project management, Agile methodologies, or enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., PMP, SAFe, TOGAF) are a plus.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and modern engineering practices
  • Experience with enterprise software development in financial services is highly desirable.

Experience Required

  • 7+ years of experience in software development or engineering management roles
  • 5+ years of experience leading technical teams in an Agile environment.
  • 3+ years of experience coordinating cross-functional technical delivery.
  • 2+ years of experience participating in enterprise architecture planning or governance.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery in complex technical environments
  • Experience working with distributed teams across multiple technical disciplines.

Knowledge Required

Excellent written and verbal communications skills; adaptability and flexibility to a changing environment; and comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, fast-paced environment. Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products.

The Delivery Manager occupies a unique position in our organizational structure:

  • While Scrum Masters focus on facilitating the Scrum process and team dynamics, the Delivery Manager concentrates on technical decision-making, enterprise architecture alignment, and cross-team coordination.
  • Unlike Product Owners who determine feature priorities and business value, the Delivery Manager ensures these features are delivered efficiently according to schedule, quality standards, and budget, while maintaining architectural integrity.
  • As a member of the Enterprise Architecture committee, the Delivery Manager helps translate architectural vision into practical delivery approaches, representing both delivery concerns and architectural standards.

This role serves as the bridge between enterprise architecture vision and practical delivery execution, ensuring that our specialized teams (UI, Backend, QA, and DevOps) deliver solutions that are not only timely and high-quality but also architecturally sound and aligned with our long-term technical strategy.
