Position Summary
Purpose Financial is seeking a Lead Business Operations Analyst to drive operational performance improvements through research, data analysis and strategy implementation. This role spearheads cross-functional initiatives to improve the customer journey across onboarding, support, servicing, and retention while mentoring junior team members. The ideal candidate excels at balancing short-term process improvements with long-term strategic initiatives while adapting quickly to changing business needs. Success requires strong analytical skills, collaborative leadership, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business recommendations that drive measurable results across the customer lifecycle.

- Lead operational excellence through strategic frameworks, problem-solving methodologies, and effective project management practices
- Develop and execute comprehensive business roadmaps in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
- Lead complex analytical projects that translate data into strategic insights for executive decision-making
- Proactively identify and resolve operational bottlenecks while balancing business requirements with technical constraints
- Foster strategic partnerships with leaders across departments to drive organizational alignment
- Mentor junior analysts while delivering data-driven solutions that create measurable business impact

Education Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience; Advanced degree may substitute for experience requirements
Experience Required
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with strong mentoring and team development capabilities
- Advanced expertise in operational excellence, process optimization, and data analytics
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI
- Superior analytical thinking and strategic problem-solving skills with exceptional communication of complex concepts
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, navigate complex negotiations, and drive high-impact projects to successful completion
- Advanced project management capabilities with experience leading multiple concurrent strategic initiatives
- Adaptable communication style effective across various channels in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
Knowledge Required
Excellent written and verbal communications skills to communicate in person, by phone, and through email; adaptability and flexibility to changing environment; and comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, challenging environment. Ability to read, write, evaluate, and apply information. Ability to interact professionally and exhibit appropriate social skills. The ability to use standard collaborations tools such as Rally, MS Teams, Zoom is required. Ability to develop and maintain business relationships. MS Office – intermediate user (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint). Any prior experience with Agile PPM tools like Agile Central (Rally), Rally, SharePoint is highly desired. Familiarity and any associated certifications using the SAFe 2.5/4.0 methodology is highly attractive.
