Position Summary
This position reports directly to the Senior Loss Prevention Manager and supports the preservation of Purpose Financial’s profits through the investigation of all organizational losses due to theft, fraud, or process and procedure, while creating an environment that ensures the safety of our branch employees and customers.
Job Responsibility
Manage:
- Partner in the execution of the department and organizational strategic plan and associated roadmap.
- Participate in the ongoing review of Standard Operating Procedures to identify and resolve potential gaps or chokepoints as it relates to Loss Prevention process and procedures.
- Champion the Loss Prevention Awareness program through content found on the Loss Prevention Hub page, Hub communications, and the monthly Loss Prevention Newsletter.
- Partner with the Senior Loss Prevention Investigator on Identity Theft and omni-channel investigations to include reporting of incidents, investigations, working cross-functionally with internal or external resources to achieve closure and to determine root cause.
- Using analytical reporting tools, monitor the associated data for trends, patterns, or activities that are directly correlated to losses through theft or fraud and refer those findings to the Senior Loss Prevention Manager for further investigation as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned by the Senior Loss Prevention Manager.

Maintain:
- Knowledge base of industry trends, techniques, and tools for the identification and investigation of financial crimes.
Supports:
- The lifecycle of the investigative process to include, but not limited to, omni-channel fraud and/or theft, identity theft, fraudulent account takeover, and violations of Purpose Financial policy.
- Omni-channel operations through the systemic review of digital fraud indicators
Education Required
Two-year degree or minimum of four years equivalent work experience, preferably in Loss Prevention or related field.
Experience Required
Prior experience in Loss Prevention or other comparable position. Experience working with confidential subject matters strongly preferred.
Knowledge Required
Excellent written and verbal communications skills; adaptability and flexibility to changing environment; and comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, fast-paced environment. Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products. Ability to read, write, evaluate, and apply information. Ability to interact professionally and exhibit appropriate social skills. Ability to develop and maintain business relationships. Ability to learn and quickly utilize all technology related to the role, to include but not limited to Microsoft Office and digital camera systems. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
