Position Summary
The Payroll Analyst supports the administration and execution of payroll operations using the SuccessFactors Payroll platform. This role is responsible for supporting end-to-end payroll processing, maintaining employee payroll data, assisting with multi-state payroll tax compliance, ensuring payroll accuracy, and maintaining data integrity. The Payroll Analyst collaborates with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to support payroll operations, resolve payroll-related issues, and contribute to continuous process improvements. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.
Job Responsibility
Payroll Processing and Administration:

- Support the execution of the complete payroll cycle, including collecting and reviewing time and attendance data, validating payroll inputs, and processing payroll accurately and on time.
- Review, enter, and maintain employee information, tax withholding details, and direct deposit data in the SuccessFactors Payroll system.
- Validate payroll inputs for accuracy, including new hires, terminations, promotions, pay adjustments, and other employee changes.
- Assist with implementing payroll process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform payroll audits and reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Compliance and Reporting:

- Maintain knowledge of applicable payroll laws, regulations, tax requirements, and reporting obligations.
- Assist with payroll tax reporting, government filings, quarterly reporting, and year-end activities as assigned.
- Participate in payroll-related audits by providing requested documentation and supporting information.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation to support payroll processing and compliance.
- Follow established payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance.
- Payroll Data Management and Reporting:

- Perform payroll data management and analysis to ensure data integrity, accuracy, security, and compliance with company policies.
- Generate payroll reports to support payroll processing, tax compliance, reconciliations, and management reporting.
- Develop and distribute payroll reports, including earnings statements and other payroll-related reports as needed.
System Maintenance and Enhancements:

- Collaborate with System Administrators and vendor support to resolve payroll system issues and support system enhancements.
- Participate in testing and implementation of payroll system updates, upgrades, and new functionality.
- Identify opportunities for payroll process improvements and operational efficiencies.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Support:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding payroll inquiries, concerns, and issue resolution.
- Provide guidance and support to employees on payroll-related matters, such as pay deductions and taxes.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to communicate changes in payroll policies, procedures, and deadlines to employees.
- Assist employees with accessing and navigating the SuccessFactors Payroll self-service portal.
- Coordinate with payroll vendors and manage service level agreements for outsourced payroll functions.
- Work closely with HR and Finance teams to reconcile payroll data with general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.

Education Required
High school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of relevant work experience.
Experience Required
- 2-3 years of proven experience as an analyst or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in using multiple software applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, calculations, and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve payroll-related issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees, managers, and external entities.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Knowledge Required
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills needed to communicate in person, by phone, and through email; adaptability and flexibility to changing environment; and comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, demanding environment.
Ability to interact professionally and exhibit appropriate social skills. Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products. Ability to develop and maintain business relationships. Ability to quickly learn and successfully utilize any technology related to the role. Must have a good understanding of technology and operations, particularly in consumer financial operations.
