Position Summary

As a Remittance and Alternative Services Manager with a focus in the Hispanic market, you will be a crucial member of our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the growth of Money Transfer and alternative products such as digital and traditional check cashing, bill payment and product innovations to increase cross-selling opportunities into our core lending business. International money transfer experience along with Fx and revenue management, ensuring efficiency, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibility

  • Design and execute remittance and alternative service strategies for both in-store and digital channels
  • Develop, lead, and implement business growth strategy to enable the company to grow its presence in Lat. Am corridor and emerging markets
  • In charge of managing the commercial and business relationship with money transfer partners and alternative service providers to support money movement
  • Collaborating with team leader and team to ensure growth activities are aligned to corporate objectives, and by developing strategic proposals that will make the company more successful and increase revenue.
  • Execute expansion strategies and meet financial targets, alongside the Marketing team
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of current and future potential market opportunities and conditions to identify new strategic business opportunities
  • Monitor, KPI management and reporting with an aim towards continuous improvement
  • Build new relationships and expand relationships with existing clients.
  • Responsible for ensuring that remittances and alternative services become a significant component within the organization

Job Responsibilities Cont.

Education Required

Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or business degree or a relevant field preferred, and 5 years of experience managing a combination of any of the following line of businesses, Online payments, Digital Remittances, Money Transfer function, bill payment, check cashing, etc.

Experience Required

  • Advanced level knowledge of Lat. Am corridor and Hispanic market in the United States
  • Experience in the cross-border or international money transfer industry with a successful, quantifiable record of revenue and management success.
  • Previous experience working directly in digital banking, money transfer, and/or FinTech
  • Experience managing across business stakeholders.
  • Relevant experience in business development and growth.
  • Ability to analyze market and trends, customer feedback, and financial data specific to identify market opportunities
  • Experience in collecting business requirements and working with engineering teams to develop products or feature enhancements

Knowledge Required

  • Bilingual Proficiency: Fluency in both Spanish and English is essential.
  • Experience in Hispanic Markets: Proven experience in developing and managing products for Hispanic or similar markets.

  • Cultural Competency: Deep understanding of Hispanic culture and financial behaviors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills; adaptability and flexibility to a changing environment; and comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products.
  • Ability to read, write, evaluate, and apply information.
  • Ability to interact professionally and exhibit appropriate social skills.
