Position Summary
This position reports directly to the UX Director and is responsible for conducting research to uncover user insights that support the development of intuitive, accessible, and engaging digital experiences. This role blends analytical thinking, hands-on research, and a strong understanding of AI-driven tools to support data-driven design decisions. The ideal candidate will be fluent in user testing, journey mapping, and analytics platforms like Google Analytics (GA), with the ability to transform insights into actionable recommendations that enhance product strategy and execution.
Job Responsibility
- Plan, conduct, and synthesize user research across methods including usability testing, interviews, surveys, and diary studies.
- Leverage AI-powered research tools and predictive analytics to uncover deeper behavioral insights.
- Analyze quantitative data from GA and other analytics platforms to complement qualitative findings.
- Create and maintain detailed user journey maps that highlight customer pain points, motivations, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align journey insights with business goals and design decisions.
- Understand and work within existing design systems to ensure consistency and scalability of user experiences.
- Partner closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to integrate research insights into the design and development process.
- Translate research insights into clear, actionable recommendations for improving conversion, engagement, and retention.
- Advocate for user-centered design practices across teams and influence product roadmaps with data-backed perspectives.
- Communicate findings effectively through reports, presentations, and storytelling that resonates with stakeholders.

Education Required
Degree in Human-Computer interaction, Psychology, Design, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience Required
- Experience: 3–5+ years in UX research, human-centered design, or related fields.
- Research Skills: Strong background in usability testing, user journey mapping, and mixed-method research.
- Design Knowledge: Understanding of design systems and how they impact product scalability and user experience.
- Collaboration: Strong communicator who can work across disciplines (Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Design).
- Experience with tools like LogRocket, Hotjar, Maze, or similar platforms.
- Background in conversion rate optimization (CRO) or A/B testing.
Experience Preferred:
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams.
Knowledge Required
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both qualitative and quantitative UX research methodologies, paired with proficiency in user testing techniques such as moderated, unmoderated, A/B, and usability testing. They should demonstrate expertise in user journey mapping and the ability to translate research findings into actionable insights that drive design and product decisions. A working knowledge of Google Analytics (GA) and other analytics platforms is essential for behavioral data analysis, along with a solid awareness of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices. Additionally, the candidate should possess knowledge of conversion optimization (CRO), funnel analysis, and digital product KPIs to ensure research outcomes are aligned with business goals and measurable success. Excellent written and verbal communications skills; adaptability and flexibility to changing environment; and comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, fast-paced environment. Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products.
