Our Mission

At Advance America, our mission has always been to better serve the underbanked. But to us, serving the underbanked is about far more than putting money in our customers’ hands. It’s about offering support by coaching our customers forward, not just cheering them on. Helping them to manage life’s complexities, not add to them. Providing them with valuable tools, not just a loan and a handshake.

We Get Involved

  • Habitat for Humanity

    For more than 30 years, Habitat for Humanity of Spartanburg has served the local community, providing more than 500 families with housing to call their own. Advance America employees at the corporate office volunteer their time throughout the year to support their community members by helping to build homes, landscaping, cleaning, and more.

  • March of Dimes

    Since 2002, Advance America has supported the South Carolina chapter of March of Dimes, an organization that financially supports lifesaving research, programs and more to reduce and ultimately end premature birth. Through fundraising events and opportunities, Advance America has donated more than $150,000 to the local chapter.

  • National Urban League

    Advance America partners with the National Urban League (NUL) to support economic empowerment in order to elevate the standard of living in historically underserved urban communities. The NUL spearheads the efforts of its local affiliates through the development of programs, public policy research, and advocacy. 

  • Boys and Girls Club

    Advance America has long supported the Boys & Girls Club of the Upstate, an organization that aims to provide every child in South Carolina with the nurturing, guidance and experiences needed for a successful and bright future. Advance America employees dedicate their time every year to support summer camp programs and after-school activities that promote mentorship, fitness, life skills and educational opportunities in a safe environment.
